less adventurous river traveler, recommended for any age, minimal skill
involved. Average river trip by raft is 4 to 6 hours long (5-10 miles),
paddling leisurely but consistently. We recommend capacity of 4 adults per
raft. |

 For the more adventurous river
traveler, recommended for age 10 years and up, some skill involved. Average
river trip by canoe is 4 to 6 hours long (10-15 miles), paddling leisurely but
consistently. We recommend capacity of 2 adults per canoe.

 For the most adventurous river
traveller, recommended for age 10 years and up, advanced skill involved.
Average river trip by kayak is 3 to 5 hours long (10-15 miles), paddling
leisurely but consistently. Sit-on-tops, sit-ins, and touring kayak styles
available.


For the casual river traveller, recommended for children 5 and up (depending on
river conditions), no skill involved. Average tubing experience is limited to
the rapids at Skinner's Falls. Time varies depending on personal
preference.

Boat
Rentals All rentals are for the day. Our bases open at 8 am on
weekends and 9 am weekdays. Boats must be returned to any one of our 10 bases
by 6 pm. All rentals include paddles, life jackets and safety instructions/trip
orientation. Boating instructions available for the novice upon request. All
river users must be able to swim and weigh a minimum of 50 lbs. Actual trip
length will vary depending on type of craft, river conditions, weather and
personal preference.

River Class The
Upper Delaware Scenic and Recreational River is rated as a Class 1 & 2
level river. In spring, when snow runoff creates higher water levels, the
rapids may raise the class certification to a level 3. Under certain
conditions, rafts and/or wetsuits may be mandatory.
